The Riverland Mural was the brainchild of Mrs Val Townsend, partner of Townsend's Travel. With the purchase of this coach it was decided to promote the Riverland region and make it stand out in the crowd.

The mural was designed and painted by two local signwriters, Rod Tickle and Darren Wenzel. A 300hr marathon effort was put in to finish the job in 10 days.

The mural starts at the front door featuring the Paringa Bridge following on with the PS Industry built in 1912, a camping scene, the Loxton Historical Village, orange trees, a river lock used to control the height of the Murray and some river cliffs.

The back features some of the produce grown in our area from Banrock Station Wines to Vitor Oranges. We've also included a map on how to find us.

Continuing around the coach you'll find another camp site with the billy boiling, gliders in the sky, a water skier, some local wildlife, the popular houseboat holidays, downstream to the Morgan Whaft. A total of 67 birds cover the vehicle.

This coach will be seen from Tasmania to Alice Springs or Sydney to Perth.

Keep your eye's open, you may come across it on your travels.

Send us an email to townsend@riverland.net.au and tell us where you have seen the coach.
